Local Heritage Museum in Schonach

This local heritage museum is located in the visitors' centre "Haus des Gastes" and displays the largest mechanical Christmas crib in the Alpine region, representing the life of Christ.
Open January – October Wednesday 10:00 - 11:00 , 24.12. - 06.01. daily 10:00 - 12:00 and 14:00 - 17:00. Group visits can be arranged on request.

Kunstraum Grässlin in St. Georgen 

With the Kunstraum Grässlin and the Räume for Kunst in St. Georgen in the Black Forest, the Grässlin Foundation opened a new form of collector`s museum. Works bei Mike Kelley, Martin Kippenberger and Albert Oehlen are shown here.

German Clock Museum in Furtwangen

The German Clock Museum in the centre of the German Clock Route holds the largest collection of clocks in Germany. It presents the history, art and technology of clocks and all about the phenomenon of time. Come and join us on a journey through time.
Open daily (except 24.-26.12.) 01.04.-31.10. from 9:00 - 18:00; 01.11.-31.03. from 10:00 - 17:00.

Phonograph Museum in St. Georgen

This museum which is unique in its kind was opened in 1972 in the town hall of St. Georgen. The phonographic devices on display demonstrate almost the entire history of phonotechnology with its many curios, starting with the phonograph invented by Thomas Alva Edison in 1877.
10 years later, Emil Berliner developed the first gramophone and laid the foundation for the triumphant advance of records that lasted for more than 100 years.

from May to September in addition Saturday 10:00-12:00, from October to April on the first Saturday in the month. Closed on Sundays and holidays.

Heimatmuseum Schwarzes Tor in St. Georgen

This farmhouse in the town centre, which was first mentioned in 1664, burnt down in 1802 and was reconstructed in 1803. In the early nineties, great efforts were made to restore it and to establish a museum inside. Here you will get an impression of how people lived and worked in the past.
Info: Tel. +49(0)7724/87194. The museum is open from May to September every Saturday 13:00-16:00, from October to April on the first Saturday in the month 13:00-16:00. From June to September, you can also take part in a special guided tour every Tuesday at 10:30.
