"Family Holidays" is not only one of our top priorities, it is also a reality that is lived here. Therefore, we come up with new ideas every year in order to surprise and thrill our little guests.

You can ask our Olympic champion Georg Hettich – nowhere else will you find a better and more attractive region for sports.

P.S.: And our towns are also spas with a healthy climate. Our healthy, low-pollen mountain air is just the right thing for children with respiratory problems.

"Children are welcome" – that is the motto all over Baden Württemberg and in particular in the towns, hotels and restaurants included in this book. All of them have been awarded the label "family-friendly".

Every three years, a competition organized by the government of Baden Württemberg takes place. This guarantees a high quality for our guests since the hotels, restaurants and places in this guide are not selected by coincidence, they had to compete actively with others and were assessed in an objective way.

On 136 pages, 21 towns offer a wide-ranging programme for the whole family: swimming, hiking, horseback riding, cycling, adventure and museum mines, open-air museum, petting zoo, adventure parks, a ride on a historic train and many other things.

Each town is introduced by a general description. Then the special offers for children and 2 or 3 detailed tours are described. Information centres, opening hours, entrance fees, family-friendly inns and accommodation – all this is included and this is the reason why this guide is a favourite for locals and tourists in this marvellous region.
