If you have always wanted to have a look at our Holiday Land with its beautiful Black Forest landscape from above, here you will find the opportunity to do so:

Schonach:
The starting ground is right at the intersection of the three districts Villingen-Schwenningen, Emmendingen and Ortenaukreis, that is why it is called "Drei-Kreis-Eck" (three-districts corner).

Starting ground altitude: 994 m above sea-level
Altitude difference compared to landing ground: 540 m

Hang-gliders and paragliders

The hang-gliding area offers a lovely and interesting scenery but it is very demanding. Since an instruction is indispensable, you can only start if you are accompanied by a member of the local club. For paragliders it is difficult to reach the landing ground in the gliding angle. In order to reach the meadow for emergency landings you must fly over a 20-KV power line; a small meadow for emergency landings is situated at a steep slope with trees.
